Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

What Is the Difference Between Diamond Brite and River Rok?

A:

Both Diamond Brite and River Rok swimming pool plasters are made with white portland cement mixed with aggregate. The difference lies in the type of aggregate that is mixed with the cement. Diamond Brite swimming pool plaster is made by combining white portland cement with silica sand quartz. River Rok swimming pool plaster is made by combining cement with very small, finely finished natural pebbles.

Q:

How Much Is Swimming Pool Plaster Going to Cost?

A:

The cost of resurfacing your swimming pool will include cost for sandblasting, material and labor cost. Material and labor cost depend on the size of the swimming pool being replastered. There are other factors that can increase the labor cost such as steps, ledges, and benches inside the swimming pool.

Q:

How Long Will It Take to Remodel My Swimming Pool?

A:

Typically a swimming pool can be replastered in about 5-7 days. We allow one day to drain the pool, another day for sandblasting and one day to prep the swimming pool before applying the new swimming pool plaster. Replastering is done in one day, and when we leave, the hose will be in the pool. If new swimming pool tile and/or coping is being installed, allow slightly more time as there will be time in demolition of the old material and prep / installation of the new tile and/or coping. If you are having your pool completely remodeled with plaster tile and coping allow approximately two weeks for installation.
